About Mayor Mike
Mike Fournier and his wife Nicole are raising their three children in Royal Oak. Mike served five years as a Royal Oak commissioner before becoming Mayor in 2016. He holds a B.A. from Michigan State University, and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. His professional experience includes business, finance, purchasing and sales.
My name is Mike Fournier and I’m proud to be serving as the Mayor of the City of Royal Oak. For over a decade, I’ve been representing our community’s values on the city commission. This November, I'm asking voters to allow me to continue doing so by reelecting me as mayor.
I’m proud to be raising my family here, I love our city, and I’m excited about all the things we’ve accomplished since I was first elected in 2011. We’ve seen substantial economic investment, dramatic increases in public safety, a stabilized budget, improved maintenance of our parks and roads, and an incredible spike in new families who want to move here. We’re doing more to protect our trees and water, as well as standing up for the rights of ALL our residents.
Things are moving in the right direction in Royal Oak, but there’s much more to do and I need your support. Together, we can continue to make our corner of the world a better place for everyone!
